In Monster Truck Stunts, you can challenge other human players in message-board-coordinated online contests. Features include an accurate car-dynamics simulation, realistic driving techniques, and stunning break-into-pieces crashes. Before you even start playing Monster Truck Stunts, you can change the screen resolution and configure audio presentation. Cherish that moment, because once you enter the game, you won't be able to do much else. The trial version disables almost every feature. Instead, you get promises about the full version, in which you would be able to select trucks, configure races, and drive anywhere you want. We didn't find the graphics impressive. Only the preview is stable in the trial version. Your driving time is limited to several seconds, during which you can either drive through an alley or crash into a tree. If you were thinking about buying the full version of Monster Truck Stunts, this demo might change your mind.

Hospital Tycoon is a medical-themed sim in which players are put in charge of hectic hospital facilities that are constantly on the verge of crisis and collapse. Players are challenged to run, maintain, enhance and expand the hospitals while turning any chaotic situation around using ingenious management techniques. The game's high level of character interaction is full of humor and drama, creating living hospital that's part soap opera and part comedy. Players will direct the hospital's medical staff, ensure patients are cared for and have the treatment facilities required. There's also the upkeep of each hospital to control and develop; dedicated areas can be built to support additional medical needs – surgery, diagnosis, physiotherapy and more. The more patients that are cured the more your medical empire can grow and flourish, but watch out for the spread of infectious conditions, or you'll soon have an epidemic plunging the hospital into absolute chaos.

DirectX 10 is the latest version of the DirectX suite of multimedia application programming interfaces that Microsoft has built exclusively into its latest operating system,
Windows Vista. Gaming enthusiasts will only be able to access DirectX 10 via a combination of one of the latest video cards and one of the editions of Windows Vista. These libraries allow the use of DirectX 10 games on platforms other than Microsoft Vista, and increase hardware compatibility even on Vista, by compiling Geometry Shaders down to native machine code for execution where hardware isn't capable of running it. No longer will you have to upgrade your OS and video card(s) to play the latest games," revealed Cody Brocious, Lead Engineer on the Alky Project.

With Windows Vista, Microsoft has also overhauled the DirectX driver architecture in the operating system. However, Microsoft does not offer backward compatibility with previous Windows platforms for the new Windows Display Driver Model in Vista.
These libraries allow the use of DirectX 10 games on platforms other than Microsoft Vista and increase hardware compatibility..

The current preview allows you to run a number of examples from the DirectX SDK on Windows XP. They're not the greatest thing since sliced bread, but we want to whet your appetite. We hope to release builds in the coming months progressing from demos to fully functional games.
